  1. Everything on the purchase and use is fine EXCEPT the online ad didn’t clearly state that no power plug in for the radio is included – power sources are hand crank, solar batery and plug into USB in a computer. I had to search all over and call Eton to find an outlet plugin, which took another couple of hours and $5 more.

We got the radio in a couple days – typical excellent service by Amazon. Set it out in the sun for an afternoon and it was ready to go. Camping at Lake Cachuma we tried it out. “High wind advisory . . .” on the weather channel. Oh yeah – the breeze was a-blowin’. The FM radio worked great, receiving several groovey stations. The LED flashlight was bright enough to find the path to the bathroom. I sent the form in for the cell phone adapter and got it quickly. Looking forward to cranking it . . . will it really charge up the Blackberry???? stay tuned…….

My purpose for buying this radio was to use it in the bathrooom while I shower. Of course, the self-power feature and the mostly positive reviews sold me on this. When I received my order, however, I was very surprised by how small it actually was; I knew it was small, but this was almost a pocket radio to me, and in fact, it fit in the pocket of my jacket. Still, the volume was strong for such a small size, so I stuck with it, until I left it by the sink counter as I stepped in the shower. The sound from the radio was completely drowned out by the water! I am highly considering returning this item if I still could and get a proper shower radio instead. Aside from the self and solar power capabilities, I also loved the flashlight (it’s very bright!), which came in handy during the most recent earthquake here in the Los Angeles area. Very good quality radio, as long as it’s not used in the bathroom while taking a shower.

the sound is great but have no idea how to connect the cell phone to it and the directions are poor.
